Actor's Filmmaking Workshop

An original motion picture written, produced and starring the class members

February/March 2010

Actor's Filmmaking Workshop

The Stock Movie Company (SMC) is a working group of Wimberley actors and technical production professionals who combine their skills and multi-task to make films. We are seeking new members of the company. Only actors may apply and those chosen will participate in a 16 week course, the Actor's Filmmaking Workshop, taught by Rodger Marion and Lee Coleè.

The classes are designed for actors who want to become filmmakers and the end product of the course is an original motion picture written, produced and starring the class members. Class members will be joined by other members of the SMC in the film development and production processes. The SMC is a group of film professionals and the product will be a film you can be proud of, see listed in IMDb, and that will add writing and crew credits to your professional resume. This is an opportunity to be fully involved in making a real film. Think of it as a support group that helps you accomplish a long held dream, being a filmmaker.

Actor's Filmmaking Workshop Actor's Filmmaking Workshop Actor's Filmmaking Workshop Beginning in February/March 2010 we will meet once a week for two hours for 16 weeks. The course covers film acting techniques, writing a screenplay, pre-production, on-location filming, editing, scoring, film festivals, distribution, marketing, and more. The bulk of class time is devoted to developing the screenplay. The 16 weeks will not be contiguous because the actual shooting of the movie is independent of classes and some classes are after shooting is over.

Audition appointments are now being taken. You must be 18 or older to audition. Contact Lee Coleè at 512-847-7934 or lee@atnip.net
